About George Kung |

George Kung (龔肇齊) was born and raised in Taiwan, ROC. In 1986, he moved to Massachusetts, USA, where he currently resides. He has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, and an M.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Kung has worked for 8 years as a Hardware Design
Engineer and more than 10 years as a Software Engineer. His primary
interest is in human-machine interface and machine-based translation.
It took him more than two years to research, test, refine
and document the process described in this book. Kung's wife teaches
Chinese at the Lexington Chinese School in Massachusetts. They have two
children who studied Chinese for many years but are still not able to
reach the level of competence to read newspapers; they end up needing
help from computer software to read Chinese. |
